Alfred Simonis, the President of Timiș County Council, announced plans to contract additional loans for co-financing European projects, projecting a debt level of about 17.5% by 2029. The total loans will amount to approximately 559 million lei, aimed at funding various projects including road modernization and a new stadium. Simonis emphasized the importance of leveraging European funds, suggesting that a 20% local contribution through loans is manageable. Additionally, funds will support infrastructure projects in southern Timișoara, enhancing connectivity with the ring road.
