The Ilfov County Council has submitted all requested documents to the European Prosecutor's Office regarding public procurement in a PNRR project aimed at preventing infections in the county hospital. They expressed readiness to cooperate with the investigation, emphasizing legal compliance and transparency in using EU funds. The European prosecutors are investigating potential fraud in the procurement of medical equipment, with suspicions that project costs were artificially inflated. Seven searches were conducted to gather evidence, following a report from the National Anti-Corruption Directorate and OLAF.
