CJ Harghita - apel către cetăţeni să participe la consultarea privind revizuirea Directivei Habitate

Borboly Csaba, Vice President of Harghita County Council, urges citizens to participate in the EU's public consultation on the Habitats Directive, highlighting Romania's lack of engagement despite its significant brown bear population. He criticized the Romanian Ministry of Environment for not submitting an official opinion by the deadline, which expired two weeks ago. With only 16 questionnaires completed, he emphasized the importance of citizen participation in shaping European decisions. The consultation deadline is August 10, and details are available on the website www.ursharghita.ro. Borboly also discussed the strict protection regime for bears under Article 12 of the Habitats Directive and the need for legislative clarification regarding derogations under Article 16.
