CJ Dolj lansează proiectul 'Cultura țestului în Oltenia' pentru includerea meșteșugului în patrimoniul UNESCO

The Dolj County Council has launched a multiannual cultural project aimed at recognizing and protecting traditional bread-baking techniques using the țest. The first goal is to register these techniques in the National Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage, paving the way for a UNESCO candidacy. The project, implemented by the Dolj County Center for Culture and Art and the Oltenia Museum, includes research, documentation, and a program to promote and revitalize related traditions. The president of the council emphasized the importance of preserving this cultural identity for future generations. Ongoing field research is being conducted to gather necessary historical information for the registration process, alongside various cultural activities to support the initiative.
