Ciuma Neagră nu s-a terminat în 1353. Cum a revenit în Europa timp de aproape 400 de ani

A new study reveals that the Black Death was not a single epidemic but continued for centuries with new outbreaks in Europe until the 18th century. Researchers from the University of Tartu analyzed Yersinia pestis genomes and correlated them with historical data. They found significant diversification of the bacterium's genetic lines between 1450 and 1500, suggesting new reservoirs among rodents. The study also links the evolution of the plague to major historical events, including the Renaissance drought and the Thirty Years' War. Understanding the plague's evolution may provide insights into future pandemics.
