Ciuma a revenit în Rusia. O angajată a unui institut specializat
In Irkutsk, Russia, 189 individuals were hospitalized after contact with a deceased woman who reportedly died from pneumonic plague. Authorities are investigating potential contacts and symptoms among the hospitalized. The woman, a 27-year-old employee at a plague control institute, may have contracted the disease during a work trip or an accident in the lab. Following her hospitalization and subsequent death, officials convened an emergency meeting to address the situation. While plague can be treated, the pneumonic form poses a risk of human-to-human transmission. The last reported case in Russia was in 2016, and natural outbreaks continue in Mongolia.
