Ciucu, despre Termoenergetica: „Am schimbat sigla, dar am păstrat mecanismul care a falimentat RADET”

The mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, announced that Termoenergetica has accumulated debts of 1.75 billion lei to ELCEN, along with penalties of 410 million lei. He highlighted that the current heating system retains the same administrative and structural issues that led to RADET's bankruptcy. Ciucu compared the current situation to RADET's past, noting that the system's inefficiencies persist despite a change in branding. He pointed out that losses from old pipelines and reduced energy consumption are significant factors contributing to the financial troubles. The mayor proposed a centralized heating system to unify production and distribution under the city's authority, aiming to eliminate penalties and facilitate network modernization. Discussions with relevant authorities have led to a new payment formula for Termoenergetica's debts, allowing for more effective financial management.
