Ciucu, despre situația STB: „Dacă nu intră în insolvență, nu se va însănătoși”

Bucharest's mayor, Ciprian Ciucu, highlighted the dire financial situation of STB, emphasizing the need for insolvency to address its debts. He identified three main causes for the crisis: unpaid employee contributions, political mismanagement, and ineffective leadership. Ciucu stated that STB has been in a state of 'undeclared bankruptcy' since 2019, with debts amounting to 1.7 billion lei, including significant penalties. He called for urgent action from the shareholders to initiate insolvency proceedings, arguing that the current transport system is unsustainable and inefficient, with costs significantly higher than in other cities.
