The Mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, announced the first step towards a transparent selection process for board members of eight municipal companies. The General Council approved the selection plan, committees, and regulations, ensuring members will be chosen based on clear criteria rather than political appointments. This initiative aims to enhance professionalism and integrity within the boards. Ciucu expressed his desire for Bucharest to set an example for other municipalities in Romania regarding transparent and competitive selection processes.
