Citroën readuce la viață legendarul 2CV. Cum arată noua mașina electrică de oraș inspirată de un model care a făcut istorie
French car manufacturer Citroën has revived the 2CV brand to boost electric vehicle sales in a challenging market. The new model, showcased at the 2026 Paris Auto Show, is a compact city car with a retro design reminiscent of the original 2CV. Although currently a concept car, Citroën plans to release a production version by 2028. The original 2CV, launched in 1948, was designed as an affordable and durable vehicle for rural farmers. The new electric model is estimated to cost around €15,400 and retains many stylistic elements from its predecessor. As competition from Chinese manufacturers intensifies, Citroën aims to leverage its historical legacy to attract consumers, a strategy also seen in other brands like Renault and Volkswagen. However, experts suggest that nostalgia alone may not be enough for commercial success; the new model must also meet modern functional and design standards.
