Sector 4 of Bucharest will reopen traffic on a key road starting August 25, 2026, ahead of schedule, marking progress in the Unirii Platform reconstruction. Mayor Daniel Băluță announced the completion of necessary works, including road and sidewalk repairs, ensuring safe use for drivers and pedestrians. This reopening aims to ease traffic congestion in the area and improve travel times for daily commuters. The ongoing project includes significant structural upgrades, with over 75% of the new platform's beams completed. Additionally, efforts to enhance the Dâmbovița River's transit capacity are underway, involving the removal of waste and installation of large pipes to manage water flow effectively.
