Circulaţia feroviară, oprită temporar între Poarta Y și Slatina Timiş

Rail traffic was temporarily halted on the electrified section Poarta Y - Slatina Timiș due to a fallen tree affecting the contact line. The incident occurred on September 6, 2026, at 18:22, when a tree fell within the contact line's clearance, causing the contact wire to sag near the railway. As the line is single-track, this necessitated a suspension of electric train services. The contact line was de-energized at 18:27 to ensure safety during the intervention. Train IR 16099 was halted until the situation was resolved. A specialized rail vehicle was dispatched to assist with the repairs, and the SRCF Timișoara team is working to remove the tree and restore the contact line for safe train operations. Updates will be provided regarding the situation and resumption of normal services.
