Circa 3 miliarde de euro, diferenţa dintre lucrările executate prin PNRR şi sumele încasate de constructori, avertizează patronatele din sectorul de profil

The construction sector in Romania faces a significant liquidity crisis, with a gap of approximately 3 billion euros between the physical progress of works and the amounts received by contractors. The Federation of Construction Employers highlights issues in the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), including poorly prepared projects and lengthy procedures. They stress the need for lessons learned from PNRR to be applied to future funding programs and emphasize the urgency of budget rectification. Concerns are also raised about the future of construction workers, as a lack of continuity may lead to skilled labor migration to Western countries. The federation calls for better project preparation for the next financial exercise from 2028 to 2034.
