Ciprian Ciucu: Work to secure apartment building in Rahova affected by explosion will take approximately 50 days

The apartment building in Rahova affected by an explosion will undergo repairs over approximately 50 days, with initial work already started. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu announced that essential utilities have been restored and contracts signed for construction. A delay of up to one month is expected due to the installation of seismic sensors in the building and nearby high school. An information campaign will inform residents about the sensor installation process, which includes documenting the condition of all apartments. After securing the building, residents will be allowed to retrieve belongings under ISU supervision, and an expert assessment will determine if further reinforcement or demolition is needed.
