Ciprian Ciucu anunță transformarea râului Dâmbovița: „Regândim circulația, plantăm arbori și redăm spațiul oamenilor”

The Bucharest City Hall plans to transform the Dâmbovița River into a more welcoming space, moving beyond its current state as a canal. This initiative includes redesigning traffic, planting trees, and creating wider areas for public use. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu emphasized the importance of making the river accessible to residents, similar to modern European cities that utilize riverfront spaces. Initial steps include revitalizing projects from the Integrated Urban Development Plan and launching a pilot project in the Regie area next summer. The changes aim to enhance urban spaces as new road developments alter traffic patterns in the city.
