The Ministry of Justice has proposed a law that removes the obligation to publish wealth declarations, following pressure from UDMR. This amendment was made to avoid constitutional issues. The project initially included financial interest declarations to be submitted to the National Integrity Agency. UDMR insisted on the amendment, threatening to withhold support for integrity laws otherwise. The interim Minister of Justice confirmed that wealth declarations will remain confidential, despite previous plans for simplified public disclosures.
