The study involved 114 participants who completed personality questionnaires and had their Reddit activity analyzed. It revealed that context and anonymity play crucial roles in online behavior, often leading to increased aggression. Participants who acknowledged their toxic behavior online tended to post more aggressive comments. The findings suggest that online interactions can escalate conflicts, emphasizing the importance of pausing before responding to provocation.
