The European Commission warns of a teacher shortage impacting the EU's competitiveness, with a projected need for 6.2-7 million AI specialists by 2027. Nearly 60% of workers will require AI skills, while 46% of SMEs struggle to find qualified personnel. The demographic decline poses further challenges, as the active population is expected to drop significantly. The Commission emphasizes the need for education systems to adapt quickly to these changes and plans to create a high-level expert group to analyze AI's impact on the labor market. Legislative proposals for quality jobs will also be introduced by the end of the year.
