He worked in the German Bundestag and later in the European Parliament, where he has held various significant roles, including as a political advisor and vice-president of the European People's Party. He was re-elected as an MEP in 2024 on the PSD-PNL alliance list, marking his third consecutive term. His professional focus has been on EU budgetary matters and relations with Moldova.
