Cine este Radu Marinescu, propunerea PSD pentru funcția de Ministru al Justiției

The Social Democratic Party has officially nominated Radu Marinescu for the Ministry of Justice in the new hybrid Cabinet led by Luca Niculescu. His extensive legal experience is expected to ensure institutional stability during a politically tense period. Marinescu, born in Craiova in 1973, has a solid academic background and has served as a local councilor and deputy in the Romanian Parliament. He previously held the Minister of Justice position from December 2024 to April 2026, a term marked by controversy over allegations of plagiarism in his doctoral thesis. His return to the ministry comes with significant responsibilities, including managing the appointment of chief prosecutors and promoting the digitalization of courts. The complete Cabinet list will soon be submitted to Parliament for a decisive vote.
