Cine este Mihai Ghigiu, propunerea PSD pentru funcția de Ministru al Fondurilor Europene

The Social Democratic Party has officially nominated Mihai Ghigiu as Minister of Investments and European Projects in the future hybrid Cabinet led by Luca Niculescu. His academic background and extensive government experience are seen as assets for managing EU funds. Ghigiu, born in 1989, holds a PhD in political sciences and has held significant positions within the party and government, including Secretary of State at the National Institute of Administration. He was elected as a deputy in December 2024 and has led the Education Committee in Parliament, focusing on educational reforms. His upcoming role will involve ensuring the effective absorption of EU funds and preventing disengagement risks from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
