Cine este Ivan Kutsenko, rusul arestat de DIICOT

A Russian citizen, Ivan Kutsenko, has been arrested in Romania for attempting to conduct espionage activities. He allegedly took and transmitted photographs of Romanian military assets and movements. The Bucharest Court approved a 30-day preventive arrest, although the decision is not final. Kutsenko has a criminal history, including a 2009 robbery case. He has previously traveled to Romania and other countries, and has been under surveillance since February 2026 due to suspected espionage activities linked to Russian entities. Investigations revealed he was instructed to document military sites and critical infrastructure.
