The Constitutional Court's recent decision on the Integrity Law has created winners and losers among political figures. Nicușor Dan and Mirabela Grădinaru benefit from the removal of a controversial clause regarding relationships similar to marriage, while Dominic Fritz faces a significant setback as the court upheld a provision that mandates the termination of public office within 30 days for those with established conflicts of interest. The court unanimously declared unconstitutional the publication of financial interests of spouses and similar relationships, while maintaining the constitutional validity of the 30-day termination rule. This ruling strengthens PSD's position, while USR and PNL achieved partial victories regarding transparency issues. However, the most pressing political challenge for USR remains unresolved, as Fritz's mandate is still at risk.
