Cine are obligația să meargă la război în caz de nevoie în România? La ce vârstă ești recrutat imediat? • Newsweek România

In Romania, military service becomes mandatory for citizens aged 18 and older during times of war or mobilization. Men are typically recruited between the ages of 20 and 35, while reservists can be called up until they are 55-60. Women may also be drafted based on their qualifications for military roles. Citizens must report to military centers if they do not receive a call-up order. The state of war can be declared by the President with Parliament's approval, particularly in response to attacks on NATO members. Romania currently has around 90,000 professional soldiers but faces a shortage of reservists due to many former conscripts not being combat-ready.
