The U.S. Department of Justice has charged five Russian intelligence agents, accused of conspiracy to organize assassinations and fund attacks in the U.S. and Europe. The group attempted to assassinate a prominent Russian dissident this summer. The main suspects include Yuri Hrameev, a former colonel, and his son Kirill, along with other recruits from Cuba and Venezuela. Their assassination plot failed when a recruited individual refused to carry out the task. The indictment also mentions planned attacks on infrastructure in Lithuania and the Czech Republic, targeting countries supporting Ukraine.
