The Brașov Tribunal's Prosecutor's Office closed a tax evasion case against five individuals after they fully paid the owed amount. The total payment was 330,666 lei, allowing them to benefit from non-punishment provisions under Law 241/2005. The investigation revealed that two suspects orchestrated a scheme to reduce tax obligations through fictitious transactions with companies from Oradea and Hungary. They recorded fake purchases of hydraulic pumps worth over 1.56 million lei, creating a false commercial circuit. Following the payment, the prosecutor dismissed the case and lifted the asset seizure.
