Cinci lucruri de ştiut despre Premiile Nobel

The Nobel Prize week, from October 5 to 12, begins with the Medicine award. Several laureates were imprisoned when awarded, including Aung San Suu Kyi and Liu Xiaobo. Youngest laureate Malala Yousafzai won at 17, while John B. Goodenough is the oldest at 97. Since 1974, posthumous awards are rare, with exceptions like Ralph Steinman. Women remain underrepresented, with only 68 of 633 prizes awarded to them, though this is slowly improving. Scientific fields show the lowest female representation, with only five women winning the Physics prize since 1901.
