Five men aged between 33 and 51 have been detained in connection with the violent protests by animal breeders in Piața Victoriei. One of the detainees is accused of inciting violence on TikTok. Prosecutors plan to request preventive arrest for 30 days. The protests resulted in injuries to 10 gendarmes, some requiring medical attention. Protesters allegedly attacked law enforcement with metal pipes and other objects, causing damage to police vehicles and public infrastructure. The case was initially opened after a TikTok post encouraged violent participation. Investigations are ongoing to identify additional participants in the violence.
