Christian Eriksen has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Wolfsburg after suffering a second on-field collapse. The 34-year-old has not played since the incident during a friendly match in June. Eriksen expressed the importance of being close to his family in Denmark and shared fond memories of his time at the club. The June incident reminded many of his previous cardiac arrest during the European Championship five years ago. He has been recovering in Denmark since then, following the implantation of a cardiac defibrillator.
