Chișinăul denunță planul Moscovei de a deschide secții de vot în Transnistria fără acordul Republicii Moldova

The Moldovan Foreign Ministry strongly criticizes Russia's plan to open voting stations in Transnistria for the upcoming legislative elections, deeming it unacceptable and a violation of Moldova's sovereignty. The separatist leader of Transnistria announced that Russia intends to establish 17 voting stations in the region. Moldova's authorities emphasize that any electoral processes by foreign states must be coordinated with them. The Ministry reiterated that while foreign citizens can participate in elections, it must respect Moldova's territorial integrity. The elections for the Russian State Duma are scheduled for September 20, 2026, with around 220,000 Russian citizens living in Transnistria.
