Chisăliţă, avertisment pentru iarna 2026-2027: Energia electrică se va scumpi şi cu 20% din cauza tensiunilor de pe piaţa gazelor

Romania is expected to face a more tense gas market situation in the winter of 2026-2027, with potential electricity price increases of up to 20%. Dumitru Chisăliță, president of the Intelligent Energy Association, noted that while a crisis is not anticipated, the storage levels are significantly lower than in previous years. He highlighted three main factors contributing to this tension: harsher winter forecasts, rising international gas prices, and reduced storage levels. Suppliers are likely to present higher offers to consumers, reflecting increased costs and risks. Chisăliță outlined three scenarios for price increases, ranging from 3-5% to 20%, depending on market conditions and gas supply issues.
