Chinezii de la BYD plănuiesc să ajungă la peste 40.000 de angajaţi în Europa, până în 2030
BYD plans to increase its workforce in Europe to around 40,000 by 2030, transitioning from an exporter to a major manufacturer in the region. Executive Vice President Stella Li emphasized the company's long-term commitment to Europe, stating that the workforce will soon surpass 10,000. This expansion could position BYD as one of the largest non-European automotive employers in the area. The company will recruit from the automotive sector and other industries, including those laid off by European firms. Additionally, BYD is finalizing its first European factory in Hungary, with plans for more facilities in France and Spain. In the first eight months of this year, BYD sold over 1.1 million vehicles outside China, marking an 86% increase from the previous year.
