China și UE, acord istoric pentru reducerea exporturilor de mașini hibride
The EU has reached a historic agreement with China to reduce hybrid car sales by half, addressing concerns over job losses in the European auto industry. This deal, the first of its kind, aims to cut imports from China significantly over the next four years. EU Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič emphasized the importance of this agreement, which was reached after intense negotiations, and noted that it could lead to millions fewer hybrid vehicles entering the European market. The agreement also includes ongoing discussions on various trade issues, including rare earth exports and market access for EU food products. Both parties acknowledged the need to manage trade divergences and stabilize their economic relationship.
