Egypt and China have pledged unwavering support on key internal issues and agreed to enhance cooperation in technology, investments, security, and infrastructure during President Xi Jinping's visit to Cairo. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fundamental interests, with China recognizing the importance of the Nile amid Ethiopia's controversial dam project. They aim to align Egypt's Vision 2030 with China's Belt and Road Initiative, promoting Egypt as a regional hub for industry and clean energy. Additionally, they plan to expand cooperation in advanced technologies and local currency agreements to boost trade and investment. This visit marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations and is Xi's first visit to Egypt in a decade.
