China refuză cererea Uniunii Europene de a-și restricționa voluntar exporturile de vehicule hibride

China has rejected the EU's request to voluntarily limit hybrid vehicle exports to the bloc, as reported by the Financial Times. The European Commissioner for Trade, Maros Sefcovic, aimed to negotiate a cap on exports during his visit to Beijing. Currently, hybrids make up over a third of the EU market, and the EU seeks to reduce this to about 15%. The European Commission is considering temporary trade defense measures that would impose high tariffs on excess exports. Failure to resolve the hybrid vehicle issue could lead to significant trade conflict. The EU's economic relationship with China is deemed unsustainable due to a large trade deficit and competitive pressures from Chinese industries. China denies these claims and accuses the EU of politicizing trade disputes.
