Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the establishment of an "Open Source AI Zone" for BRICS members during the summit in New Delhi, aiming to enhance cooperation in AI and trade. He emphasized the need for a solid foundation for pragmatic collaboration among BRICS nations, which include Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, among others. Xi highlighted the importance of maintaining stability in industrial supply chains and fostering an integrated market. Additionally, he announced plans for a BRICS Special Economic Zone partnership and a commercial forum next year to boost trade and investment ties. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that solutions developed within BRICS should be adaptable for the Global South. Russian President Vladimir Putin described BRICS as a driving force for a fairer, multipolar world order.
