China: Lifturi de sute de metri pentru elevi în Yunnan
A group of 13 students in a remote Chinese village now have easier access to school thanks to newly built lifts in Yunnan province. These lifts have significantly reduced their travel time from over three hours to just 30 minutes. The vertical lifts, functioning like 'aerial school buses', allow students to ascend from the canyon floor to their school located on a mountain top. This transformation in transportation was made possible by the development of the Nizhu River Grand Canyon tourist area, which introduced two major lifts. The service is free for local residents and prioritizes students during peak tourist seasons.
