China's space station has upgraded its kitchen with advanced appliances and a wider food selection to enhance astronauts' nutrition during long missions. The Astronaut Center of China collaborated with private companies to equip the kitchen with smart devices for drinking water, reheating meals, and baking, allowing astronauts to enjoy hot meals in just 20 minutes. Innovations include a space water dispenser ensuring safe recycled water and a microwave oven designed for quick reheating without microwave leakage. The menu now features nearly 200 food varieties, with a 10-day meal cycle, enabling fresh vegetables, nuts, and baked goods in space. The Tiangong space station is now in a phase of long-term human habitation, with plans for a crewed lunar mission by 2030.
