The U.S. has responded to a Chinese cyber operation that accessed sensitive government networks, including the Department of Justice and NASA. The Justice Department seized domains used by hacker platforms QScan and QTRouter, linked to a Chinese company. China denied involvement, claiming the U.S. misuses cybersecurity issues to discredit it. The hackers targeted various U.S. agencies and attempted to breach networks since at least 2018. Recent attacks included data theft from defense contractors and attempts to access Senate networks. The FBI has previously linked similar operations to China.
