A spokesperson from China's Ministry of Commerce stated that China would firmly defend its legitimate rights and interests. This response comes as the UK plans to act in sync with the EU to counter the expansion of Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers. UK Trade Minister Anas Sarwar emphasized the importance of collaboration between the UK and the EU, while negotiations are ongoing to avoid a 10% tariff on electric vehicles.
