China a finalizat excavarea celui mai lung tunel feroviar de mare viteză din lume

China has completed the excavation of a significant underwater high-speed railway tunnel under the Yangtze River, enhancing its infrastructure capabilities. The Chongtai tunnel, part of a future line connecting Shanghai to western China, is designed for trains traveling at speeds up to 350 km/h. The project, utilizing the largest boring machine in China, has set a record with an 11.3-kilometer continuous underwater segment. Estimated at around 7.1 billion yuan, the tunnel is part of a larger railway initiative expected to span approximately 2,000 kilometers, linking major industrial and technological hubs. This development underscores China's commitment to expanding its high-speed rail network.
