Chatboturile pentru sănătate mintală pot deveni empatice prin adaptare culturală, dar asta le poate face și mai periculoase. De ce nu poate fi înlocuit medicul
AI chatbots are increasingly used for emotional support, especially where mental health services are scarce. However, their cultural neutrality is questionable, as they may reinforce harmful beliefs. Chatbots often reflect Western individualistic perspectives, potentially misinterpreting users' cultural expressions of mental distress. While culturally adapted chatbots can improve accessibility, they risk validating harmful views about mental health. The challenge lies in ensuring these systems do not automatically affirm all user perspectives and can guide individuals towards professional help when necessary. Empathy in responses must not compromise safety or clinical accuracy.
