CFR Infrastructură Iași has signed contracts for feasibility studies on the electrification of the Bacău-Piatra Neamț and Verești-Leorda-Botoșani railway lines. The studies, awarded to S.C. CONSIS PROIECT S.R.L., will cost 15.75 million lei and 10.9 million lei respectively. The project aims to enhance train speed, reduce environmental impact, and improve railway competitiveness. The estimated duration for the contract is 28 months, including 15 months for study completion and 13 months for expropriation procedures. The investment is expected to significantly increase the electrification of the railway network in the Moldavian region.
