CFR SA has signed a consultancy and supervision contract for the modernization of the new Poarta - Caransebeş lot, valued at 15.64 million lei. The contract aims to oversee the design and execution of works for the rehabilitation of the Craiova - Drobeta-Turnu Severin - Caransebeş railway line. It includes monitoring project stages, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, and supervising the investment during the warranty period. The project will modernize the railway infrastructure to meet European interoperability standards, allowing for higher speeds and improved safety. It also involves the rehabilitation of existing tunnels and the construction of new ones, enhancing the overall transport capacity and quality.
