CFR: Contract de 1,8 mld. lei pentru Lotul 2 al liniei Craiova-Caransebeș

CFR has signed a contract for the rehabilitation of the Craiova-Drobeta Turnu Severin-Caransebeș railway line, valued at 1.8 billion lei. The project aims to modernize the railway infrastructure between Filiași and Igiroasa, ensuring compliance with European interoperability standards. The contract was awarded to the TrackWorks consortium, led by ALSTOM TRANSPORT S.A. The project includes a 12-month design phase and a 48-month execution period, with a 10-year warranty. Funding comes from non-reimbursable external sources and the state budget. The modernization will enhance capacity and improve travel conditions on the railway corridor.
