CFR Călători has completed contracts under the PNRR investment program, modernizing 139 passenger cars and 75 locomotives. The upgrades include climate control, passenger information systems, and eco-friendly toilets. Modernized locomotives are equipped with advanced command and monitoring systems, enhancing energy efficiency and safety. The company acknowledges institutional and industrial partners for their support in executing the project entirely in Romania. The modernized rolling stock improves travel conditions and operational efficiency, with some units still undergoing upgrades under the 2021-2027 Transport Program.
