CFR S.A. has signed a consultancy and supervision contract for the modernization of railway infrastructure in Constanța Port, valued at 29.62 million lei. The contract was awarded to a consortium led by Baicons Impex and Arex Lider Company. The project aims to enhance the competitiveness of rail transport by improving service quality and safety, contributing to Romania's economic integration in the EU. It includes implementing a zero-emission transport system and upgrading traffic management technologies. The contract spans 159 months, covering design, execution, and warranty phases, with funding from the Connecting Europe Facility and the Romanian state budget.
