CFA: Indicatorul de Încredere Macroeconomică a scăzut în august
The CFA Romania Macroeconomic Confidence Indicator dropped by 4.8 points in August, reaching 39.5 points. Current conditions remained stable, while expectations fell by 7.2 points to 40.8. Participants foresee continued stagflation, with inflation expectations slightly decreasing to 6.09%. Most anticipate a depreciation of the leu against the euro and a stagnation in residential property prices. The projected budget deficit for 2026 decreased to 5.8% of GDP, with economic growth expectations around 0.1%. Public debt is expected to rise to 63% of GDP, and Brent oil prices are anticipated to average $87 per barrel amid high uncertainty.
