Crețu, ranked 271st in ATP, won 6-2, 6-3 in 1 hour and 37 minutes. He had a 63% first serve percentage and converted three out of five break points, while Trismuwantara failed to capitalize on six break points. This victory puts Romania ahead in the tie, which is crucial for qualifying for the Group I playoff. Radu Papoe is set to face Rafalentino Ali Da Costa in the next singles match, with a doubles match scheduled for Saturday.
