A 31-year-old Ugandan citizen was assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone in Sector 4 of the Capital. The suspect, a 30-year-old man already under judicial control for another case, was apprehended by police. The incident occurred early Friday morning when the victim was approached in his car by the suspect, who requested a paid ride. At a traffic light, the suspect asked for the victim's phone to make a call, then used physical violence to steal it and fled. The victim chased him, and the suspect abandoned the phone nearby before being caught by police. The suspect was detained for 24 hours and later placed in preventive custody for 30 days. Investigations are ongoing for aggravated robbery.
